Swedish minister Ann Linde arrives in Oman for trade talks

Muscat: To explore the means of enhancing bilateral relations, especially in the economic and investment fields, Ann Linde, Minister of European Union (EU) Affairs and Trade of the Kingdom of Sweden and her accompanying delegation arrived here on Tuesday on a two-day visit to the Sultanate.

The guest will meet with officials in the Sultanate to discuss aspects of cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, tourism, agriculture and fisheries, encourage setting up joint ventures and increase trade exchange between the two friendly countries. Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also hold B2B meetings on Wednesay at its premises between the Swedish trade delegation with their Omani counterparts during which they will discuss strengthening relations in the industrial, investment and economic sectors.

The Swedish trade delegation includes representatives from various sectors including agriculture, livestock and food industries, as well as pharmaceutical production and hospital management.

The guest and her accompanying delegation were received at Muscat International Airport by Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and officials.
