Muscat: Under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, the book titled Adjoining Dimensions in Sultan Qaboos Thought was launched on Monday at the Diplomatic Club.
A number of their highnesses, their excellencies and accredited ambassadors of sisterly and friendly countries were present of occasion.
Sayyid Asa’ad, the chief guest launched the book and watched a visual show on the chapters of the book and an overview about the author, Dr.Majdi Al Afifi.
Afterwards, the book’s author, Dr. Afifi delivered a speech where he expressed sincere gratitude and respect to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. He pointed out that the 600-page book Adjoining Dimensions in Sultan Qaboos Thought comprises of three chapters.
He then signed the first version of the book for His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and delivered it to the chief guest.
He then presented another copy to Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, the chief guest.
It should be noted that the 600-page book ‘Adjoining Dimensions in Sultan Qaboos Thought’ is published by Dar Al Maarif in Egypt.
It includes three parts and 10 chapters.
The author has been working in Akhabar Al Youm newspaper since 1976 and is Editor In Chief of Akhbar Al Adab.
He occupied a number of media positions in the Sultanate during the period from 1984 to 2010.
He is a writer, a poet, critic, lecturer and member of both the Journalists Syndicate and Egypt Writers Union.
