Public Authority for Craft Industries reviews artisanal sector plans

Muscat: Plans and programmes implemented in artisanal sector were reviewed by the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI).
The Board reviewed the general plan of PACI for 2018, which includes a number of projects to promote entrepreneurship and investment and raise their contribution to the GDP, and the budget of PACI for next year.
The Board also reviewed the designs registered in the intellectual property protection system, where PACI has deposited a collection of works of art issued by it recently, which includes many craft products in craft industries at the Intellectual Property Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The second meeting for this year was held under the chair of Sheikha Ayesha bint Khalfan Al Siyabiyah, Chairperson of PACI.
The Board also reviewed the terms and conditions for the preparation of marketing studies for all products and craft markets in order to stimulate demand.
It reviewed the cooperation programme with Muscat Duty Free at Muscat International Airport.
