Construction of Indian Social Club Sohar premises begins

Muscat: The Indian Social Club in Sohar has announced that it has begun construction of Phase 1 of its new club premises.
A statement from the Executive Committee said, "On the occasion of the festive season, the Executive Committee of Indian Social Club, Sohar wishes to announce the start of construction of the 1st phase of the club premises on plot no. 25, Al Muewlah Governmental Area, Sohar near Al Batinah International School behind Sohar Hospital."
The first phase of the project includes a a boundary wall, a basic room, toilets, and an open air stage. Once completed, the premises will be used to organise open air events.
The club also asked for companies, individuals, and communities to contribute for the cost of the building. "We call upon all to contribute for a set of 100 or multiple of 100 blocks costing R.O 25/- for each 100 blocks. The contribution can be paid against a proper reciept either by cash or by cheque favouring us or can be deposited in our Bank Muscat account no. 0343014079440015, and [informing us on] our Whatsapp no. 91704647, or to contact any Executive Committee member," the club statement added.
