Oman's State Council Chairman conveys His Majesty’s message to Indonesian president

Jakarta: Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia, received yesterday Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council, on the sidelines of the Emergency Islamic Summit currently being held in Jakarta.
During the meeting, Dr Al Mantheri conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the President of Indonesia and His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's best wishes of good health and happiness and for the Indonesian people further progress and prosperity.
The Indonesian president told the State Council chairman to covey his greetings to His Majesty the Sultan along with his best wishes to him of good health and happiness and to the Omani people further progress and prosperity.
They reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to the topics of the Emergency Islamic Summit.
Sayyid Dr. Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Sultanate's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Permanent Representative to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Sayyid Nizar bin al Julanda Al Said, Sultanate's Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and a number of officials attended the meeting.
Took part in Extraordinary Islamic Summit
As delegated by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council took part in the Extraordinary Islamic Summit currently being held in Jakarta.
Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo affirmed in his speech at the Summit that the Palestinians have suffered due to the Israeli occupation and that the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation should proceed well to have a solution for the Palestinian case.
He hoped that the Summit will come with decisions that will help in reaching an accord or restoring the rights of the Palestinian people.
Iyad Madani, Secretary General of the OIC affirmed the support of the OIC to achieving a comprehensive reconciliation among the Palestinian faction that will lead to forming a national unity government , joining international agreements and organisations within their legal and political endeavours to achieve justice, protect the rights of the Palestinian people and expanding international recognition of the State of Palestine. -ONA
