Table Tennis: Armaan, Austine capture titles at ISC Open

MUSCAT: Armaan Sattikar and Austine Althealey captured the men’s singles and women’s singles title respectively at the Al Tasnim Enterprises-sponsored Open Table Tennis Tournament organised by the Indian Social Club Muscat.
Armaan made the most of his short break from studies in India to play some brilliant table tennis to capture the men’s singles title. In a thrilling final, Armaan defeated Indonesian player Wiryawan Kiko 11-13, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9.
Filipina Austine Althaeley emerged winner to claim the women’s singles crown after defeating Surabhi Salian. Austine dominated the final to win in straight games 11-9, 11-8, 11-7, 11-4.
