Oman participates in Emergency Islamic Summit in Jakarta

Jakarta: The Sultanate participated yesterday in the ministerial meeting of the Emergency Islamic Summit and the meeting of the permanent representatives at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
Sayyid Dr. Ahmed bin Hilal al-Busaidi, the Sultanate's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Permanent Representative to the OIC, headed the Sultanate's delegation in the meetings.
The meetings discussed the draft of "Jakarta Declaration" in preparation for submission and approval by heads of delegations participating in the Emergency Islamic Summit.
The meeting also discussed the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the Israeli violations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli Settlements, and the attempts to blur the identity of the city of Jerusalem.
