Muscat: Students of Bangladesh School Muscat continued their success story in the International GCSE Examinations held in June 2017.
Students scored 112 A* and 174 A grades and 100 per cent of them passed in O Level, in which 82 per cent achieved A* to C grades.
Tanveer Mahatab Nabil and Sumiah Mazedwho bagged 5 A*s and 1A each and stood first. Tousif Habib and Tabasum Nijami score 5 A*s each. Azka Yasin , Md. Samir Siddique, Shammi Akter, Idris Ellias Arvin, Md. Ikramul Kamal, Asifur Rahman, Nasfia Hoque, Suraj Chandra Nath and Afreena, scored 4A*s each.
|Twenty-nine A*s and twenty-one A grades are bagged in Physics, while twenty-eight A*s and twenty A grades are scored in Chemistry. Twenty-one A*s and forty-three A grades are scored in Mathematics, while Twenty A*s and fifty-eight A grades are secured in Bangla. Ten A*s and eighteen A grades are attained in Biology. Eight As and three A grades are earned in English and ICT, respectively.
In A2 Level 100 per cent pass is secured in Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Accounting, Business Studies, Physics and Economics.
One A*and thirty-seven A Grades are obtained in aggregate in the IAL /IAS Examinations.
Amna Tariq who scored 1A* and 2 A grades remained at the top in the score board of A2 Level. Shifat Hossain and Nahida Noor, who attained 4As, are top scorers in Science and Commerce stream of AS Level respectively.
Principal (Retd Lt.-Colonel) Mahmud Ul Alam lauded the hard work of the students and thanked the teachers on behalf of the Board of Directors.
“I congratulate my students and value their efforts with the highest regard. This is the result of diligence and team work. Teachers and students contributed their best to earn this result,” he added.
Director of Academic Affairs, Major Nasir Ahmed (Rtd) expressed his delight over achievement and good result.
Members of the Board were also pleased with this result. Sabina Akter Majumdar, chairperson of the Board congratulated the students on their performance. She thanked and appreciated the principal and the faculty on their work and achievement.
