Omani pilgrim dies at Haj

Muscat: An Omani pilgrim has died at Haj, the government has announced.

Khalfan Bin Salem bin Khalfan Al Ameri, of the Royal Court Affairs, died during the performance of the tawaf al-Qadum in Mecca.

The deceased was a member of the military pilgrimage mission. "The children of the deceased and his family were immediately informed," according to Oman News Agency.

The military pilgrimage mission departed on August 26.
