Oman takes part in China fisheries expo

Muscat: Led by Ithraa, Oman’s Inward Investment and Export Development Authority, three Omani companies recently participated at International Guangzhou Fishery and Seafood Expo (FISHEX) in China.
The three-day event was held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.
FISHEX was planned to facilitate the international fishery and seafood industries, as well as to provide a platform for exhibition, procurement, trade negotiation, technical forum and information communication.
As integration of trading, exhibition and technical forums, the event opened the gate for high-end brands, processing enterprises and traders from all over the world in the fishery and seafood industries to access to Chinese market and expand the international market share.
Nasima Al Balushi, Ithraa’s Director General of Export Development, said: “We want Omani companies to be noticed and break into international market to increase our international presence. Specialised trade shows like FISHEX offer us an excellent opportunity to present our products and meet potential importers”.
