Muscat: Oman's Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs Mohammed bin Salim Al Toobi received an invitation from Eng. Suhail Mohammed bin Faraj Al Mazrouie, Minister of Energy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take part at the 7th Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF).
The Forum, hosted by the UAE Ministry of Energy during December 2017, provides an opportunity to discuss effective methods to address challenges in the field of capturing and storing carbon on broad basis.
This came when Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs received yesterday Mohammed bin Sultan Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to the Sultanate.
The meeting reviewed means of joint cooperation between the Sultanate and the UAE within the framework of encouraging cooperation and exchange of expertise with friendly countries in scientific, research and academic fields.
They also discussed the importance of enhancing knowledge exchange in the field of environment and climate affairs.
They also highlighted the importance of reviewing experience in environment protection and combatting pollution and benefiting from them in enhancing the level of sustainable development.
