Oman Air Muscat-Kathmandu flight suffers 'technical snag'

Muscat: Oman Air flight WY 337, a Boeing 737-800 flying from Muscat to Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport returned safely back to base after the aircraft suffered a technical problem in the air.
The flight took off from Muscat International Airport at 0613 local time with 137 guests and six crew members on board. “The aircraft returned to its home base, after experiencing a technical snag on takeoff. The guests and crew disembarked smoothly and without incident,” a statement from Oman Air said.
All guests were accommodated on an alternative aircraft with the same flight number that took off at 15:00 local time (11:00 UTC) from Muscat. “Oman Air thanks the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, the staff at Muscat International Airport, Royal Oman Police and Oman Airport Management Company for their cooperation and professional support,” the statement added.
