Oman weather: Rain expected in some parts of the Sultanate

Muscat: Cloudy skies are predicted over most of the Sultanate, with rainfall expected over Al Buraimi, Al Wusta, Al Sharqiyah, and Al Dhahira.

Dhofar will experience thick cloud over its mountainous and coastal areas, with chances of medium rainfall.

"Chances of low-level clouds or fog is expected along parts of the Arabia Sea and Oman Sea coast," according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation.

Despite the cloudy skies, temperatures will still stay around the low 30 degrees Celsius: Muscat will see a high of 32 degrees, while Nizwa and Sohar will be at 31 and 33 degrees respectively.

Sea winds are predicted to be light along the coastal areas of the sea of Oman, while along coastal areas of the Arabian Sea the winds will be moderate. The sea state in the Arabian Sea is expected to be rough compared to Oman and Musandam seas, which is expected to be slight.
