OPWP seeks consultant for power project's environmental impact study

Muscat: Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) has floated a tender seeking bids from consultants for conducting a social and environmental impact assessment study for developing an independent power project in the Sultanate.
The bidders are expected to be registered as an environmental consultant with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs.
The location and the installed capacity of the plant are yet to be determined.
OPWP will issue the tender document between August 21 and September 5, while the last date for submitting bids will be on October 1, according to the tender floated by the state-owned OPWP.
