318 jobs up for grabs as Sultan Qaboos University career fair opens in Oman

Muscat: Forty-three companies and institutions will participate in the Career and Training Opportunities Fair 2016 which begins at the Cultural Centre of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on Monday.
Being held under the patronage of Dr Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Chairman of Public Authority for Radio and Television, this is the 17th edition of the fair.
The three-day exhibition organised by the university will showcase the work and training opportunities available to students in the labour market.
Sulaiman bin Khamis Al Jahwari, Director of Professional Relation at SQU Career Guidance Centre said that 43 firms and institutions in various sectors, selected according to laid down rules and standards, will participate in the fair.
Selection of companies and institutions participating in the fair takes into account the number of jobs and training offered by them to the output of the university, the quality of jobs and the need for these jobs to cover most disciplines of the university, Al Jahwari said.
The participating companies will provide 318 jobs and 270 training opportunities for university students, he added.
