Drugs found hidden in bottle at Muscat Airport

Muscat: An expat has been arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into the country via Muscat International Airport, the Royal Oman Police announced.

The accused attempted to hide the drugs in bottles.

In a statement online, the police said: "The anti-narcotics department at Muscat International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotic drugs. A person of Asian nationality was arrested on charges of possession of narcotic drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

“The suspect was arrested with 64 plastic bottles containing marijuana,” the police said, before adding that the case is under process.
