MUSCAT: A regular winner of the local and international meet, the Nautilus Swimming Club announces its Annual Swim Meet on November 9-10, 2018.
The yearly swim meet is a much awaited event, helping to identify and encourage young talents. The event will be held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, Muscat from 8am onwards both the days.
Nautilus being the one and only swim club in Oman with an Olympic coaching team on board, provides a wide range of competitive swimming programs that has shaped beginners to top competitive swimmers. These swimmers are trained to participate in various meets across the world.
This annual meet is yet another platform to encourage swimmers from various clubs to showcase their skills in events including 50m, 100m, 200m all the strokes, 200m and 400m Individual Medley (IM) and 400m Freestyle.
The races will be timed by an Omega Timing System to ensure the accuracy of the swimmers’ timing. Meet Officials are represented from the Oman Swimming Association.
Apart from Professional, Nautilus has also introduced Amateurs and Masters Category to encourage those who enjoy recreational swimming or retired competitive swimmers to compete as well.
The registration for this event is expected to rise above 300, with teams arriving from Bahrain, Qatar and UAE.
The event is open for public and is encouraged since there are exciting prizes and gift vouchers from the finest resorts to win.
