Here are the holidays remaining in 2018 in Oman

Muscat: As we near the end of the year, we have gone through five public holidays. So what official holidays remain for the year 2018?
According to the official Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs application, the two remaining official holidays are for the National Day celebrations — which fall on November 18 and 19, 2018 — and the Prophet's (PBUH) birthday on November 20, 2018. However, according to royal Decree No. 27/2006, the actual dates of the holidays for the National Day "may be modified to suit public interest".
The date of the Prophet's birthday is determined by the Lunar calendar.
Article 1 of the Royal Decree No 27/2006 on the amendments of official holidays states that the holidays are:
- Islamic New Year, which falls on the first of Muharram.
- The birth of the prophet (PBUH), which falls on the 12th of Rabi Al Awal.
- Isra' wal Miraj, which falls on the 27th of Rajab.
- The Renaissance Day, which falls on July 23.
- National Day, which falls on November 18 and 19.
The decree adds, "If a weekend falls on the mentioned official holidays, then it shall be compensated by one day. The date for the national holiday may be modified to suit public interest."
