SalamAir to appoint new CEO

Muscat: SalamAir’s chairman has announced that they are in the process of appointing a new CEO, according to an online statement, to replace François Bouteiller.
“The board of directors of SalamAir has made a decision a few weeks ago to change the company’s CEO, and the next appointment will be announced in a few weeks, God willing,” chairman Khalid Al Yahmadi said.
“The post is currently and temporarily occupied by the Advisor and Aviation Expert on the Board of Directors. Also, the next CEO will be a GCC national,” Al Yahmadi added.
SalamAir is Oman’s first budget airline, based at Muscat International Airport.
The airline was awarded its air service operator licence by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) in early 2016 and has a fleet of three Airbus A320s.
