Alawi conveys His Majesty’s greetings to Rouhani

Tehran: President Dr. Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran received in Tehran yesterday Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs conveyed greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to President Rouhani and the Iranian people further progress and prosperity.
On his turn, President Rouhani asked the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs to convey his greetings and best wishes of good health and happiness to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people further progress.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
A session of talks was held at the building of the Iranian Foreign Ministry between Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah and Javad Zarif, Foreign Minster of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the presence of a number of officials from both countries.
The session reviewed and discussed the existing good relations between the Sultanate and Iran and means of enhancing cooperation in various spheres. The session also touched on issues of the region and the importance of solving them through diplomatic means.
