Oman table tennis team to train in China

Muscat: Even as the Sultanate is gearing up to host the Arab Table Tennis Championships, the Oman Table Tennis Committee has chalked out a detailed training programmes for the national team to prepare them well for the prestigious tournament.
According to the governing body of the country’s table tennis, as part of that programme a ten-member Omani team will be travelling to China to undergo a training camp.
The Arab championships is scheduled to take place at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex from August 15 to 20.
The Omani committee has invited a number of different age group paddlers for an internal training which began on July 1 and runs till July 14.
At the end of the domestic camp, the committee will select ten players for the China camp, which will frun from July 16 to 31.
Ahead of the Arab championships, the Omani players will also undergo another training camp at home from August 2 to 13.
The committee has enlisted the services of a number of international coaches and experts, including those from Iran, Jordan and Syria, as well as the local experts to train the Omani talents.
The list of players who are attending the local camp are Badr bin Mohammed Al Jissassi, Ayad bin Mohammed Al Jissassi,
Hamid bin Rashid Al Jissassi, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Jissassi, Loqman bin Sultan Al Farsi, Ali bin Hilal Al Ghafri, Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Balushi, Moaz bin Ali Al Shuhi, Mishal bin Hamad Al Shuhi, Aiman bin Hamad Al Shuhi, Mohammed bin Suleiman Al Balushi, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Zaabi, Al Mundir bin Said Al Ghassani, Ayad bin Said Al Ghassani, Omar bin Said Al Ghassani, Al Khalil bin Masoud Al Ghassani, Mohanna bin Masoud Al Ghassani, Muaid bin Said Al Ghassani, Ahmed bin Salim Al Riyami, Isa bin Salim Al Riyami, Muaid Al Muttawa, Mohammed Al Muttawa and Abdulrahman bin Moosa Al Hadi.
