Al Musannah: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) on Wednesday celebrated the graduation of a new batch of recruits under the auspices of Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Ra’eesi, RNO Commander.
The ceremony, which was held at the Military Parade Field of Said bin Sultan Navy Base, started with a salute for the chief guest who inspected the front column. Then, the graduates performed a slow march parade accompanied by the RNO music band.
Thereafter, the chief guest distributed appreciation certificates to the distinguished graduates at various activities and competitions. After that, the graduates chanted the RNO anthem and took the oath of loyalty and obedience and chanted thrice long live His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the RNO Commander pinned long service and good conduct medals on some RNO personnel.
The event was attended by senior officers, senior RNO commissioned and non-commissioned officers and othwer RNO personnel.
