Muscat: People will now be allowed to decorate their cars in light of Oman’s 48th National Day celebrations, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.
Starting from Sunday (November 4), individuals will not be fined for stickers on their vehicles, provided that the images are in connection to National Day and are not offensive in nature.
In a statement online, ROP said, “Starting from today (November 4) and until November 30, the police will allow the application of stickers on vehicles in celebration of the 48th National Day, in accordance with the specifications outlined. Provided that the stickers, images and phrases are relevant to the occasion.”

ROP has also issued guidelines for this. The statement added, "Stickers and slogans must be relevant and inoffensive in nature. Furthermore, they must be on the rear window or body of sedans, as well as the rear, rear side, and bodies of four-wheel vehicles, with the stipulation that they allow the driver to see through the sticker. No loose fabric can be attached to the vehicle and finally, the adornment must not significantly change the shape or colour of the vehicle."
