Speaking to the Times of Oman, Gautam Roy, the line producer of film, said: “The film will be shot in Oman after completing shooting in India and London.”
Roy owns a production company called V4 Entertainment, which provides logistical and production support to Bollywood film crews. “The entire cast and crew of more than 60 people will come to Oman for the shoot. But the exact places for the Oman shoot are yet to be finalised.”
Indian actors Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra will play army officers in an intense crime-drama, based on true events that hits screens in 2018.
The film is being directed by Indian National Award-winning Director Neeraj Pandey, who is known for critically acclaimed films, such as A Wednesday, Special Chabbis, M S Dhoni: The Untold Story and Baby.
The director has already wrapped up the shooting in Kashmir and is currently shooting in the Indian capital, Delhi. “From here, the team will go to London and then to Oman to complete the film,” Roy added.
Aiyaary is slated to release on January 26, 2018.
Roy said the film was supposed to be shot in Morocco, but was later moved to Oman because of the country’s diverse topography.
Roy came to Oman as an ordinary expatriate and later started promoting Oman to Bollywood. “I started doing events and films when no one in Oman had given it any thought,” said Roy.
V4 Entertainment has provided logistical and production support to films, such as Awara Pagal Deewana, Naach, Aaan, and Gunday in Oman. Roy also said Oman is slowly becoming a hotspot for Bollywood filmmakers as it has much to do with both, getting picture-perfect locations, as well as the friendly approach of the government.
“Many directors have fallen in love with the beauty of Oman, as many of Oman’s neighbours do not have the beauty which Oman has,” he said.
