Spectacular results by ISM students in AISSCE exam

Muscat; Indian School Muscat (ISM) yet again exulted with toppers creating a splendid record in the CBSE- All India Senior School Certificate Examinations (AISSCE) held in March/April 2017.
Ninety-one students scored A1 with an overall of 1,305 distinctions in subjects, 61 students more than 90 per cent and 537 A1 in individual subjects with an average of 74 per cent. A1 stands for top 1/8th across CBSE schools.
In Science stream Aadilmehdi Sanchawala topped the school with 97.4 per cent, Bhakti Bhushan Kolwadkar, Dannel Jacob and Gowri Lekshmy shared the second position with a score of 96.2 per cent and the third position was secured by Snehaa Ganesh with a score of 96 per cent.
In Commerce stream Varshini Ramesh topped with 96.8 per cent, Simran Panesar stood second with 96.4 per cent and Jeena Reeba James and Visalakshi Subramanian Secured the third Position with 95.2 per cent.
In Humanities stream Rohan Gopal topped with 89 per cent, Bhavishya Shanmuga Sundaram scored 87 per cent in second position and Yawmathul Varham secured the third position, with 86.6 per cent.
Karunya Sivakumar in Chemistry, Varshini Ramesh in Mathematics, Kunal Sinha and Keerthana Krishnakumar in Engineering Graphics.
Aadilmehdi Sanchawala scored 99 per cent in Computer Science and Aaditya Naganathan Rajagopal 99 per cent in Psychology.
In Economics Jeena Reeba James scored 99 per cent and Shruti Suresh scored 99 per cent in Painting. Avigna Anil Panicker and Pranita Bhadra scored 98 per cent in English, Dannel Jacob and Chetlur Krishna in Physics scored 98 per cent, Merlyn Sarah Andrews and Rebekah Celina Rebeiro scored 97 per cent in Sculpture. Alfia Alsam and Merin Joe secured 95 per cent in Biology and Khalida Ruheen 95 per cent in Sociology. Abhishek Sreejith, Joshua Kylekurian and Agriti Mehrotra shared 94 per cent in Informatics Practices. Varshini Ramesh, Simran Panesar, Visalakshi Subramanian, Deeya Deep Anand, Reni George, Pranita Bhadra, Smruti Chandrasekharan, Akhil Varghese Kuriakose, Natasha Jimmy, Rahma Padiyath, Harshit Morparia, Aneeta Lucy George, Bezalel Sunny John, Ramanathan T N, and Ashna S Parekh scored 95 per cent in Accountancy. Faraz Ahmed scored the First Position with 89 per cent marks in Physical Education.
Science Stream Topper Aadilmehdi Sanchawala said, “I was doing my best. Rather I used to fix daily and weekly targets and tried to achieve as much as possible. Apart from academics, other activities helped in my achievement.”
He thanked the teachers for their guidance and support.
Commerce stream topper Varshini Ramesh while expressing her happiness said, “All I had to do was revise whatever my teachers taught me and did my daily lessons. I put all my energy and hard work in preparing for the examinations.”
Rohan Gopal topper of Humanities stream expressed his immense joy and said, “Hard work always pays. I had been consistent, at the same time teachers and parents were instrumental in helping me achieve the goal”.
Principal Dr. Rajeev Kumar Chauhan expressed happiness at the outstanding results and thanked the students, teachers and parents for their combined efforts.
He appreciated Deep Wilson, advisor to Principal and complimented Eskalin Gonsalves, Vice Principal, Senior Section, Assistant Vice Principal Geeta N. Chauhan, Heads of various faculties and the Senior Section teachers for their dedication and unstinting efforts in helping the students to excel and emerge as champions.
