MUSCAT: Al Rehwan registered another win in its E Division campaign, beating NBO Muzn by 5 wickets at Muscat Municipality ground 3 in Amerat on Friday.
Invited to bat first, NBO Muzn was restricted to 150 for 7 in 20 overs. Ismail Ghulam topscored with run-a-ball 50 while Sameer Mohammed contributed 34. Raniz Mohammed claimed 3 for 28.
Al Rehwan raced to the target in the 17th over, scoring 154 for 5 thanks to vital 41 by Jibin Kunnumpurat and Sabeer Puthen’s 39. Faizan Tufail took two wickets.

Design Group win
Brilliant all-round performance by Karthik Rajappa steered Design Group Engineering Consultants to an emphatic win over Manis Azad International in an F Division game at Muscat Municipality ground 4.
Batting first, Manis Azad could manage only a dismal 121 for 9 in its quota of 20 overs. Anil Anwar was the highest scorer with 29 runs. Farooq Kamran and Karthik Rajappa bowled superbly, claiming three wickets each.
The chase turned a cakewalk for Design Group who scored 124 for 5 with more than six overs to spare. Karthik Rajappa topscored with a fluent 49 while Nadeem chipped in with a vital 25 not out. Saleem Salam and Ali Kamran bagged two wickets each.

Silkgate win
In another F Division game, Kaustubh Dargaoli smashed 52 to lay the foundation for Silkgate’s 35-run victory against OCT Al Nahdha at Muscat Municipality ground 3.
Opting to bat first, Silkgate scored 147 for 8 in 20 overs thanks to Kaustubh’s half-century. Avinash Joseph batted well too for his 32. Khalid Moosa and Riyadh al Balushi took two wickets each.
OCT Al Nahdha failed to surpass a modest target as it was restricted to only 112 for 6. Khalid Moosa (29) and Ahmed Al Balushi (25) were the main scorers. Muhammed Owais claimed three wickets while Sagar Trantukar took two.

Jotun registered a come-from-behind 23-run win over Aster Hospital in a low-scoring G Division match at OAC 3 ground in Seeb.
In a forgettable performance with the bat, Jotun was dismissed for 125 in 20 overs, Renju Pillai topscoring with 30. Noushad K claimed 3 for 22 while Sadath Peer and Usman Tufail took two wickets each.
Failing to capitalise on a small target, Aster Hospital was bundled out for a paltry 102 in the 18th over. Shajith bin Ummer and Vikram Vishwas were the only notable scorers with 25 and 24 respectively. Sreelal Pillai bagged 3 for 27.
