Table tennis: Suhail and Yash lift men’s doubles crown at ISC tourney

Muscat: The fancied duo of Suhail Khan and Yash Tanna lifted the men’s doubles crown at the Al Amana Building Materials Company-sponsored Annual Table Tennis Tournament organised by the Indian Social Club (ISC).
Suhail and Yash complemented each other and dominated the final from start to finish to outplay Subash Pillai and P. Sai Saran in straight games.
The opening game of the final was evenly matched before Suhail and Yash wrapped it up. Subash and Sai Saran fought hard in the second game and held a slight edge before Suhail and Yash rallied to edge narrowly for a 2-0 lead.
The excitement continued but Subash and Sai Saran were unable to penetrate into the defences of their opponents, who went on to win the next two games to emerge winners with final scoreline of 11-9, 14-12, 11-7, 11-7.
