1. If your soup or food has excess salt add few slices of potatoes and cook for 5 minutes; potatoes absorb the salt.

2. While frying potatoes which are boiled, dust with flour and pepper; they will brown quickly and will taste better.

3. Store cut iceberg lettuce in glass jars. They will last longer.

4. To remove the entire shell of a coconut freeze the entire coconut. Then break the shell. It comes out smoothly.

5. Freeze mint leaves or berries or lemon slices in ice trays to make flavourful party ice. They also taste and look lovely.
