For the second year in a row, Oman made it to the top 10 countries in the Global Muslim Travel Index. The Sultanate was ranked 9th in a list of 130 countries for safe travel, airport facilities, access to prayer spaces.
Oman has outperformed nations like Egypt, Jordan, Maldives and Kuwait. In 2016 there were 121 million Muslim visitor arrivals globally, which will grow to 156 million by 2020.
