Sunaidy discusses ways to boost Oman-Kenya trade

Nairobi: Dr. Ali bin Mas’oud Al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry met with Henry K. Rotich, Secretary for the National Treasury and Planning and Najib Balala, Secretary of Tourism and Wildlife, during his current visit to Kenya.
Dr. Al Sunaidy and his accompanying delegation also visited the Port of Mombasa during which he met with Joseph Kabwana, Chairman of the Kenyan Ports Authority, Daniel Manduku Managing Director of the Port of Mombasa and Kenyan businessmen.
Dr. Al Sunaidy discussed with the Kenyan officials ways to increase trade exchange between the Sultanate and Kenya, the draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Port of Mombasa and the Port of Salalah, as well as the prevention of double taxation and joint investment opportunities between the two countries.
The Minister of Commerce and Industry and his accompanying delegation visited the Omani House at Mombasa Castle.
The meetings were attended by Saleh bin Sulaiman Al Harthy, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Kenya and Mohammed Dori Mohammed, Ambassador of Kenya in Muscat.
