1 in every 8 road deaths was a child

Children aged 15 and under made up for 12% of road deaths in Oman last year. This accounted for 82 of the 692 fatal accidents and 183 injuries in 2016. Experts have called for stricter enforcement of laws that prioritise child safety in cars.
