Muscat: The energetic, young and newly crowned Miss Diva Universe India 2015 first runner-up Natasha Assadi is basking in the glory of her win.
Today, Times of Oman (TOO) is featuring Natasha Assadi, alumni of the Indian School Al Ghubra in its #OmanPride campaign.
“My dream is turning into reality and I feel honoured and blessed,” Assadi told TOO.
“My family has been my backbone and has always asked me to be a good human being throughout. This attitude got me here and I'm thankful to them,” she added.
Miss Diva Universe India is a popular pageant that takes place in India where the winner represents India at the Miss Universe contest and the first runner up in another international pageant. The contestants were judged on various parameters, including fitness, intelligence and tech knowledge.

Assadi pursed her education in Oman. She was a student at the Indian School Al Ghubra from 2001 to 2008. She was graduated from the Muscat International School.
As a teenager, she modelled for Toyota, Bank Muscat and HSBC in Oman.
“Oman is my second home; I spent my childhood here,” Assadi said.
“This is just the beginning. I will make my family and India and my second home Oman very proud,” she added.
Speaking about her participation in Miss Diva 2015 she said, “I have always loved and been fond of pageants and when I heard about Miss Diva, I thought the concept was brilliant and believed that I have what it takes to win. That's what made me participate in this pageant.”
The grand finale was judged by actress Kangana Ranaut, designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil, actor Irrfan Khan, film director Vikash Bahl and actress Lara Dutta.
For the grand finale, Bollywood celebrities, including Khan, Ranaut, Zoya Afroz and Elli Avram among others were present. VJ Cyrus Sahukar hosted the finale night.
Assadi is now gearing up for her upcoming international pageant.
Speaking about her plans to act in films, she said, “Movies would be great. I would be thrilled if I get an opportunity to act. Films are something that I'm passionate about so it would be a dream come true to pursue acting.”
