Muscat: Registration for new e-Government services provided by the Information Telecommunication Authority (ITA), in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), has already started.
Citizens and residents who have started registering for the service right from their places of work, welcomed the move.
The service called ‘Tam’ allows registered citizens and residents to use government electronic services and carry out transactions in a fast and secure way.
Moayad Ali, working in one of the government colleges, said he received an email from his college administration about the registration date for this new service.
“The process was smooth and easy. I hope more such services are provided for the public in future,” said Moayad.
Protected by Oman’s e-Transaction, the new service provides clients with highest levels of trust and legality, allowing them to sign any document or application electronically and have 24/7 access to services provided by many government organisations, including the Muscat Municipality, the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Health, the Public Prosecution, the Al Raffad Fund and others.
