Muscat: Stressing the role of the sectoral committees in regularising the labour market through presenting the visions that contribute to developing plans and programmes related to Omanisation, the minister of manpower urged the employment of national workforce and training them in the private sector, in addition to the keenness to avail more job and training opportunities for the national manpower.

The Supervising Committee for the Omanisation Joint Sectoral Committees on Sunday held its first meeting under the chair of Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower.
A visual presentation was given by the Omanisation Joint Committee in the Construction Sector about the rate and plan of Omanisation in the sector, in addition to reviewing the incentives offered to assist in increasing Omanisation rates. Challenges facing the private sector in attracting the national workforce were reviewed as well.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Tender Board, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Chairman of the General Union of the Workers of the Sultanate of Oman and heads of the Sectoral Committees.
