Alawi hands over His Majesty’s written message to Indian Prime Minister

New Delhi: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India received a written message from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said dealing with means of promoting the relations between the Sultanate and India in a manner that serves the joint interests.
The message was handed over by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs when he was received by Modi in New Delhi yesterday.
The two sides discussed aspects of the bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them to serve the joint interests between them particularly in economic, trade and investment cooperation.
The two sides also touched on several viewpoints on regional and international issues of common concern.
Session of talks
Bin Alawi also met with Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs of India. The two sides held a session of talks during which they discussed the strategic relations between the two countries and means of developing them in all areas, as well as issues of common concern.
The two sides affirmed to continue their roles in supporting all peaceful endeavours to strengthen ties of cooperation and understanding, as well as the importance of dialogue in enhancing pillars of justice, peace, security and stability around the world

Bin Alawi was also received by Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India. The two sides reviewed the distinguished historic bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of promoting them in various fields.
