“Drive carefully as there are rocks on the roads,” the Royal Oman Police tweeted on its official twitter handle.
Meanwhile, a weather enthusiast said that almost all low lying areas are flooded in Khasab and Mussandam.
“Khasab and Mussandam were hit by heavy rain on Sunday night,” Bader Ali Al Baddaei, an administrator of www.rathth.net, a local web-based forum that discusses weather in Oman, told the Times of Oman.
On Saturday, Royal Oman Police (ROP) had deployed extra officers near overflowing wadis and low lying areas for the safety of people.
Last Thursday, weather forecasters predicted showers, strong winds, hail and floods for three days beginning on Friday.
The National Early Warning Center at the Directorate General of Meteorology predicted a low depression over several parts of the Sultanate this weekend accompanied by strong winds, showers and hail.
In the forecast, department had predicted that Buraimi, Al Dhahira, North and South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliya, North and South Al Sharqiyah and Muscat would be affected.
