Football: Oman U-23 team edge Saudi Arabia in friendly

Muscat: Oman Under-23 team defeated their Saudi Arabia counterparts in a friendly match in Saudi Arabia during the weekend.
The Omani squad, who are being coached by Hamad Al Azzani, are currently training in Saudi Arabian capital city of Riyadh as part of their preparations for the forthcoming international tournaments.
In the friendly match, Azan Al Tamtami scored Oman’s match-winning goal.
Thee 24 players who are attending the camp are Ibrahim Al Mukhaini (Al Arouba), Bilal Al Balushi (Oman), Amir Al Shibli (Bausher), Hassan Al Ajmi (Sohar), Abdulaziz Al Ghailani (Sur), Amran Al Farsi, Samir Al Alawi (Al Arouba), Thani Al Rasheedi, Amran Al Haidi (Al Khabourah), Juma Al Habsi (Seeb), Abdullah Arafa (Dhofar), Eihad Al Balushi, Salah Al Yahyaei, Zamir Al Aghbari (Seeb), Al Muassim Mubarak (Oman), Hathim Al Roshdi (Sohar), Azan Al Tamtami (Deportivo Alves, Spain), Mohsin Al Ghassani (Suwaiq), Musallam A’akak (Al Nasr) and Marwn Auladwadi (Seeb).
The Oman under-23 will be participating in Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku in May and then play their 2018 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers in Kyrgyzstan in July.
