Kuwait receives remains of prisoners taken during Iraq invasion

Muscat: The Kuwaiti Embassy in Baghdad has received the remains of 21 persons, supposedly Kuwaitis taken prisoner during the Iraq invasion in 1990.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) announced on Wednesday that the Embassy had received the remains from the Iraqi government and they were supposedly of people taken prisoners during the invasion.

In a statement, KUNA said, "Genetic examination will be carried out in Kuwait through the General Administration of Criminal Evidence to match the forensic results with the database of prisoners, missing persons and nationals of other countries."
