Oman's oil production increases

Muscat: The average daily production of crude oil in August increased by 7.26 per cent and reached 720,300 barrels a day, the monthly report of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals revealed.

The Oman News Agency (ONA) reported, "The report also shows that the average daily export quantities of crude oil and condensates decreased last August by 4.28 per cent to reach 744,736 barrels compared to July 2020, and China's imports accounted for 86.2 per cent of total Omani crude oil exports."

"The average price of Oman’s futures oil on the DME witnessed an increase of 1.6 per cent compared to the average price of last month, and the monthly average price of Omani crude oil for delivery next October reached 44.32 dollars per barrel, up by 70 cents compared to the current September delivery price," the statement added.
