Field study ordered on social situation of citizens in Oman

Muscat: The Minister of Social Development has directed employees to conduct a field study of citizen's social situations.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Social Development (MOSD), said: "The minister visited the Headquarters of the General Directorate of Social Development in the governorates of South and North Al Sharqiyah and the Department of Social Development in Jalan Bani Bu Hassan, Jalan Bani BuAli and the Al Wafa Center for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons in the Wilayat of Sur."

"During the visit Her Excellency Laila bint Ahmed bin Awadh Al Najar, listened to a brief on the progress of work and detailed explanation of matters related to social care services and ways to facilitate procedures that serve the citizens."

"The Minister said that employee's jobs are not limited to social security cases according to documents, but include conducting a field study of the citizen's social situation. She asked for ways to enhance and develop the citizen's standard of living and provide all services that fall under the umbrella of the ministry, whether in the field of women and child development or at the family level," the statement added.
