Muscat: The Majlis Al Shura Office has hailed the Royal Decrees issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on restructuring the administrative apparatus in the Sultanate.
This came when the Office of the Majlis Al Shura held, yesterday, its 18th regular session of the first annual convening (2019-2020) of the ninth term (2019-2023), under the chairmanship of Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura in the presence of its members and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Nadabi, Secretary General of Majlis Al Shura.
During the meeting, the Majlis Al Shura Office hailed the Royal Decrees issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on restructuring the administrative apparatus of the State by merger and cancellation of some ministries, renaming a number of other ministries, establishment of new institutions, cancellation of existing councils and authorities, and appointments in the various fields among other initiatives.
The Majlis Al Shura Office also reaffirmed that the restructuring of the administrative apparatus of the State and updating the laws and legislations would positively contribute to Oman Vision 2040.
The meeting reviewed the ministerial reports the Office of Majlis Al Shura has received and referred the same to the various committees concerned and the technical office for consideration and review.
The meeting also discussed a proposal on reschedule of loans taken by pensioners from the commercial banks in the Sultanate, reduction of the percentage from their pension wages, increase of repayment term and reduction of interest among other issues.
