Increase in student results leads to higher acceptance rates in Oman

Muscat: An increase in the overall result of students in the general education diploma has led to higher acceptance rates this year.

Hamad Al Harithi, Assistant Director General for Scholarships Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation said: "The increase in the results of students in the general education diploma and the decrease in the seats which are allocated for external scholarship from 1,650 to 750 seats led to an increase in competition for opportunities, and thus higher acceptance rates."
