Four arrested for smuggling drugs

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested three drug smugglers in Muscat Governorate.

A statement issued online by ROP said, "The General Administration for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances has arrested three smugglers belonging to the Asian community in Wilayat Qurayyat. They were found in possession of over 50 kilograms of hashish, one kilogram of heroin and 960 grams of crystal.

"The ROP confirmes that it will continue to address drug crimes by monitoring and controlling smugglers and drug traffickers. ROP advises citizens and residents to do more cooperation and report any actions that drug dealers do by calling the toll-free number 1444 or going to the nearest police station," the statement added.
