Muscat: More than 317 thousand tons of fish have been landed by artisanal fishing in the Sultanate by the end of May 2020.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency(ONA) said, "The total quantity of fish landed by artisanal fishing by the end of May 2020 in the Sultanate amounted to 317,802 tons with an increase of 31.5 per cent over the same period of 2019."
"The statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicate that the total value of fish landed by artisanal fishing amounted to OMR 143,544,000 with an increase of 18.1 per cent compared to the end of May 2019," the statement added.
