Muscat: Commercial stores must ensure that they close operations before the evening movement ban commences, so that customers can reach home in time, Muscat Municipality said on Saturday.

In a statement, the civic body said, "The Municipality stresses the necessity to adhere to closing stores well in advance of the evening movement ban. Legal measures will be taken against violations." The Government Communication Centre (GC), represented by Brigadier General Said bin Sulaiman Al Asimi said: "Action must be taken by stores to ensure that people are in their homes by 7 pm, when the nightime ban on movement starts."
