Muscat: Two people from the Asian community were arrested in South Al Batinah Governorate for smuggling and possession of narcotic drugs.
A statement issued online by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said, ”South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command has arrested two Asian people for smuggling and possession of narcotic drugs for the purpose of trafficking in them.”
“They were arrested for being in possession of 29 kgs of hashish and 297 capsules containing a brown substance similar to morphine drug. Legal procedures are underway,” the statement added.
