Muscat: Muscat Municipality has set up new regulatory procedures at the Al Mawaleh Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits.
A statement issued online by Muscat Municipality said that it had been decided to set up regulatory procedures to determine the times of work and entry For the market according to the following:
- Changing the market hours from 6 am to 2 pm only.
- Market entry procedures continue to be in force, with work limited to wholesale as retail stores continue to be closed.
- Allowing entry of refrigerators that obtain customs clearance.
- Preventing the entry of trucks with a load of less than 3 tons and preventing retail operations.
- Local producers must register their data with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
- Continuing agricultural and customs checks in the logistics city or through the border outlets.
- The number of people allowed to enter the market in one vehicle will not exceed two, at most.
"These decisions will be implemented from Saturday, July 25, 2020 until further notice," the statement added.
