Muscat: The National Defence College (NDC) held a graduation ceremony on Wednesday at its headquarters in Bait Al Falaj Camp for the seventh national defence course, under the auspices of Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry.
A number of senior officers from the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO), the Royal Oman Police (ROP), and other military and security authorities, participated in the course, along with a number of senior officials in ministries, civil government bodies and institutions.
The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sayyid Dr. Fahd bin Al Julanda Al Said, Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Lt-Gen. Ahmed bin Harith Al Nabhani, SAF Chief of Staff, Maj-Gen. Matar bin Salem Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), Air Vice Marshal Matar bin Ali Al Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), Maj Gen Ghosn bin Hilal Al Alawi, Assistant Head of the Internal Security Service (ISS) for Operations, Maj-Gen. Ahmed bin Ali Keshoub, Secretary General of the National Security Council at the Royal Office, and members of NDC Teaching staff.
It is worth noting that the seventh national defence course began on Aug. 28th ,2019 with the aim of preparing and qualifying strategic leaders (military and civilian) by the commitment to provide an academic environment that stimulates intellectual creativity, learning, research and development, and providing them with knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that enable them to take over senior positions at the strategic level, active participation in formulating public policies, developing national strategies, and making sound strategic decisions in the areas of security and defence.
