Several arrested in Oman on drug smuggling, trafficking charges

Muscat: The police have arrested a drug dealer found with more than 120 kg of hashish in his possession. He has been charged with cooperating with international gangs to smuggle these drugs into the Sultanate.

The Royal Oman Police said: "The General Department for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested a drug dealer who had partnered with international gangs and seized opium and 126 kilograms of hashish in addition to psychotropic tablets."

"The police also arrested an Asian woman for her participation with the accused in selling drugs," ROP added.

In another case, the police command of the Al Batinah North Governorate took legal measures against two Asians, for possession of anaesthetic crystals and hashish for the purpose of trafficking.
