Government issues statement on expat work visa fee reduction

Muscat: Following the enquiries on social media platforms regarding the expat work visa fee renewal, the Government Communication Centre (GC) has issued a clarification on Sunday.

“Reducing fee for renewing expatriate workforce cards from (301) OMR to (201) OMR applies to the following categories only,” GC said in a statement.

“Institutions and companies with a national workforce, regardless of the number of Omanis and owners of SMEs as a full-time job who are registered with the Public Authority for Social Insurance as employers,” GC added.
